Sarah Long, Registered Nurse
Sarah has been an ICU nurse and has followed postoperative patients for years prior to joining Surgical Services of Athens in 2016. She is a registered nurse with a BSN degree from the University of Alabama in Huntsville. Outside of Surgical Services of Athens, she mentors students, enjoys spending time in the outdoors, and practices fine arts, including sketching.
Dawn South, Registered Nurse
Dawn joined Surgical Services of Athens in 2013. She is a registered nurse with her BSN degree from the University of North Alabama. In her spare time, she loves watching her family play softball, spending time with friends and family at the river, and listening to music.
Renee Stubblefield, Business Manager
Renee joined Surgical Services of Athens in 2019. She is a certified professional coder and works as the business manager. When she is not working, she enjoys the outdoors, including swimming. She also loves baking, reading, and especially playing with her grandson.
Gaila Bagsby, Billing Specialist
Gaila joined Surgical Services of Athens in 2008, and has played a valuable role in several behind the scenes medical business activities, most recently specializing in billing. When she is not working, she enjoys looking for shells at the beach and working on various craft projects.
Sharon Grisham, Medical Assistant
Sharon has been working with Surgical Services of Athens since 2000, treating thousands of patients as a medical assistant over the last 20 years. Outside of her medical work, she enjoys traveling with her family and outdoor activities.
Alyssa Currier, Receptionist and Office Clerk
After working at Athens-Limestone hospital for several years, Alyssa joined Surgical Services of Athens as a receptionist and office clerk in 2024. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and coaching youth basketball.
Peyton Mayberry, Receptionist and Office Clerk
Peyton joined Surgical Services of Athens in 2024. She enjoys spending quality time with her family, weekend hikes, and exploring new destinations.
